Bilstein B16 PSS10

Bilstein is know for producing high quality suspension products that offer both great handling performance and a comfortable ride. Made in Germany, the PSS10 coilover is designed for street and light track use, and offers ride height and damping adjustment.

The PSS10 front struts are inverted monotubes. An inverted strut allows the body of the damper itself to carry side loads instead of the piston and piston rod. This means that instead of the small piston rod and delicate damper internals carrying side loads, there is a 40mm damper body sliding on much larger bushings. This greatly increases lateral stiffness and elimates unwanted loads on the damper itself, allowing smoother and more consistant operation and better durability.

These offer a single 10-click adjustment knob which changes rebound and compression simultaneously to allow fine tuning of ride and handling. Height is adjusted with threaded lower spring perches. This allows fine tuning of ride height to suit preferences as well as the ability to corner balance the chassis, something we highly recommend with any adjustable suspension system.

Spring rates: linear front, progressive rear

Bilstein does not provide rates for their suspension, but it is estimated that the front springs on these coilovers are 70n/mm (400lb/in) front with a rear progressive spring with a similar rate.

The PSS10 is designed to work with stock top mounts but front camber plates can also be used. Spherical bearing rear mounts are not easily adapted to the provided upper spring perch adapters. For use with solid rear mounts please contact use before ordering.
